　　Sex and the City’s Cynthia Nixon has married her long-term partner Christine Marinoni. The actress, 46, wore a custom dress by Carolina Herrera for the ceremony, which was held in New York yesterday. Her publicist confirmed to People: "Cynthia Nixon and her girlfriend, Christine Marinoni, were legally married in the state of New York." No further details about the ceremony are currently available.

　　The couple have a son Max Ellington Nixon-Marinoni, 15 months, whom Marinoni, 45, gave birth to last year. They have not revealed the details of the child’s biological father. Cynthia also has a daughter Samantha, 16, and 10-year-old son Charles with photographer Danny Mozes. The star ended her 15-year relationship with Danny in 2003. She met Christine at an education rally in 2002 and they became a couple two years later. The actress and education activist got engaged in 2009 at a rally to support gay marriage in New York, which was not legal at that time. The pair decided to wait to marry until it was legal to do so in New York state, which occurred last summer.
