    Sample answer：

　　I don't think that college students should be allowed to keep pets in their dormitories. My ex-roommate used to have a cat. When no one was in the apartment, the cat would sneak out and eat food in the kitchen, then leave a mess. Her litter box also smelled really bad. What was worse was that I am allergic to cats. Whenever, I am near cats, I sneeze a lot. I wish the school would have made her get rid of the cat. Instead, I had to make a deal with her: As long as she did not let her cat out of her bedroom, I was ok with her keeping it. I think that colleges should make policies and help provide students with a more comfortable living so that they do not have to deal with uncomfortable situations like that.

　　2.Some students prefer to study in a library. Others prefer to study at home or in dormitories. Which way do you prefer and why? Include reasons and details in your response.

    Sample answer：

　　I prefer to study in the library because, it is quiet, peaceful, and is a good study environment. I can focus better in the library.Knowing that the students around me are also studying really hard motivates me. So, I don't feel lonely because I have companions. Also, if I study at home, there are too manydistractions. For example, I always find an excuse to take a break. I watch some TV, grab something to eat, listen to music, or watch a little bit of a movie on my computer. With all of these distractions, I am not able to get a lot of school work done. Studying the library is also more convenient, because if I have a question I can always check in a library book.
