x86架构主宰着台式和笔记本电脑的世界，ARM主宰着移动/嵌入式的世界。这种普遍的看法对吗？不完全是，还有MIPS——数以亿计的嵌入式设备采用MIPS架构，多年来，MIPS架构致力于进入被ARM主导的移动世界。它刚得到了推进：MIPS已经被Imagination科技收购，Imagination科技因许多智能手机和平板电脑中使用的PowerVR图形芯片而闻名。

There's also MIPS - hundreds of milpons of embedded devices run on MIPS, and for years now, the architecture has been trying to break into the mobile world dominated so much by ARM. They just a got a boost: MIPS has been acquired by Imagination Tech, most known for its PowerVR graphics chips used in a lot of smartphones and tablets.
