Guy Has over 10,000 URLs Tattooed on His Body

　　Pat Vaillancourt is the current record holder for the most web addresses tattooed on his body, with over 10,000 URL’s inked on his back and shoulders. That sounds like a lot, but he’s not stopping until his body is covered by 100,000 website addresses.
　　帕特·瓦扬古目前保持着这样一个古怪的记录：他身上纹着世界上最多的网站地址，在他的背上和肩膀上一共有1万个网站链接。1万个，听起来是不是觉得很多？不过他的终极目标可不止这些：他要在身上纹上10万个网站地址。
　　In 2010, 30-year-old Vaillancourt, from Quebec, Canada, decided he wanted to set a world record of his own, and because he wasn’t an athlete and he couldn’t do extreme stunts, he chose tattooing as the way to leave his mark on the world. ”I want to break a Guinness World Record, but more importantly, I want to help others. And this is my way of doing so,” he said back then.
　　瓦扬古是加拿大魁北克省人，2010年三十而立的他决定要创造一项属于自己的世界纪录。因为他不是专业运动员，也不会表演什么惊人绝技，于是就选择了纹身，用这种方式在世界上留下自己的印记。“我想要打破吉尼斯世界记录，但更重要的是我想要帮到别人，这就是我帮助别人的方式。” 他当时这样说。
　　People and businesses can pay $35 to have their URL tattooed on Pat’s body and listed on his website, Back2thelight.com, with half the proceeds being donated to help the people of Haiti and Somalia. Vaillancourt says the other half is used to pay for his tattoos and promote the project. If my calculations are correct, he hopes to ultimately raise $3.5 million, including expenses.
　　个人或者企业只要支付35美元，就可以在他身上纹上地址打广告，并且会列在他的个人网站Back2thelight.com上。瓦扬古表示会把收入的一半捐出去帮助海地和索马里人民，另一半则会用来支付纹身费用和推广这个“纹身助人”计划。如果我没算错的话，他希望最终能赚到350万美元（含开支）。
　　This unusual project wasn’t Pat’s first idea of making the world a better place. He first started a website asking people to donate $10 for the Haiti Relief Fund, but that didn’t work out very well. Still he kept thinking of ways to raise money, and when he woke up one day he got this unusual idea that would allow him to reach his goal and set a new world record at the same time.
　　这个奇怪的计划可不是帕特的第一个让世界更美好的创意，他之前曾创立了一个网站，呼吁人们为海地赈灾基金捐赠10美元，但是效果不是很好，于是他又设想各种可以募钱的方法。有一天早上醒来，他突然有了这个主意，可以说是一举两得：既可以实现帮助别人的目标，又能创造新的世界纪录。
　　He plans to have the first layer of 50,000 web addresses tattooed in black ink, and the other half tattooed in fluorescent ink that should make him very noticeable in nightclubs. He currently claims over 16,000 companies have already reserved a spot on his body.
　　他计划第一层的5万个网站地址用黑墨水，另一半则用荧光油墨，这样就算是在夜店也会很引人注目。最近他表示已经有1.6万家公司在他身上预订了广告位。
　　His friend, a tattoo artist, takes between 1 hour and a half to execute 100 URLs, so Vaillancourt says the project will be completed in 10,000 – 12,000 work hours. When it’s done, Pat will be covered in URLs from his neck to his ankles.
　　他的纹身师朋友完成100个网站链接需要花费1个半小时，所以瓦扬古表示整个计划完成需要1到1.2万个小时。等到大功告成时，从脖子到脚踝，他的身上将会被密密麻麻的网站链接覆盖。
