Position Title: Analyst – Chartis Shanghai Analytics Center

Department: Insurance Analytics Center

The ideal candidate will be a professional with a concrete background in quantitative analytics and an interest in financial engineering and/or General Insurance

Responsibilities include

Refining and collecting appropriate data for analysis and ensuring its reasonableness and accuracy by coordinating across functional areas

Supporting the data and analytical needs of the investment and actuarial groups

Under limited supervision, applying appropriate analytical tools to the data and performing actuarial and/or statistical analysis

Analyzing, reporting and developing recommendations based on data analysis

Maintaining and creating standard and ad hoc reports

Preferred Qualifications include:

Master’s degree in one of the following areas: quantitative finance, economics, actuarial science, business management with quantitative focus, statistics

Overseas education and / or working experience

At least one year of experience working in financial services industry, preferably with experience at property/casualty insurance companies, accounting firms, or related consulting firms

Interest in attaining one of the following professional designations: Fellow of Casualty Actuarial Society / Society or equivalent actuaries qualifications in other countries, Chartered Financial Analyst, Financial Risk Manager

Experience in the areas of financial planning and reporting, profitability analysis, economic capital model, capital calculation / allocation, reserving, pricing, reinsurance, risk measurement and management , value-at-risk, stress testing

Excellent written and oral communication skills in Mandarin and in English; excellent analytical skill, good technology skills (Microsoft Office, VBA, database etc); Managerial experience

Actuarial modeling software experience recommended
