　　贺词分为二类，一类是事前祝愿寄托美好祝福；另一类是事后祝贺，表达同喜的心情，通常表示祝愿的表达方式有
Good Luck./ Wish you success.
Wish you happy new year!
Best wishes for you!
Please give my best wishes to…
Give my regards to your parents.
Have a nice…/ May you succeed.
May God bless you!
I hope you'll…/ Enjoy…!等等

 表示祝贺的表达方式最常用的就是 Congratulations! 其余表达方式还有
Drink to your success!
I congratulate you.
Allow me to congratulate you on…
Allow me to express my happiness on hearing your success等等。

 看下面的对话，体会这些表达方式：
A：I was just fired.
　　B：congratulations! You got what you had wanted, didn't you?
　　Ｑ：What does B mean! ［B］
［A］A deserves the purishment.
［B］A has wanted to quit the job from long ago.
［C］A will find a better job.
［D］A is joking.

6. 提醒

提醒就是一种提示和警告，主要表达方式有
Remember that…/ Don't forget that…
Be careful that…/ I remind you that…
watch that…/ Mind you.
Make sure that…/Take care that…
I warn you that…等等。

常见的还有各种各样的告示牌，如
Danger!/Keep away!/ Wet paint./ Private property等等。

 看下面的对话，体会以上表达方式：
A：Watch your manners, sir.
B：Sorry, I didn't find it necessary.
What does B mean? ［B］
［A］It's none of your business
［B］My manners are proper
［C］I have to behave more manners like this
［D］Your warning is reasonable

7. 诺言

表示诺言的表达方式主要有

I promise…/I assure you that…
I give you my word that…
I confirm you that…
I pledge that…
I convince you that…
I guarantee that…
I will never break my word.
I take my oath that…
I swear that…等等。

8. 打比方和作比较

对待二类事物，一是观察其相同点，作比喻，二是观察其不同点，作比较。第一种即比喻的表达方式有

…look like…/ such…like…/ A is compared to B／ …as…/ A matches B等等。
表示比较表达方式有

A is better than B./ I prefer A to B/ compare A with B./ as…as…/ be superior to/ be inferior to/ contrast…with…
以及比较级、最高级的应用，其中需要注意的是比较级、最高级的特殊用法，如二者之间的比较级表示最高级，比较级的否定式表示最高级的情况。

B. I can't agree more.
