考前的这几天我们重点联系一些常用的翻译方法，今天我们练习使用总结性衔接词语。
　　1、中华人民共和国建国五十周年大庆，澳门回归祖国，我国加入世贸组织谈判的突破性进展等诸多重大喜事，无不让人感到兴奋和自豪。
　　It marks such major happy events as the 50th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, the return of Macao to the motherland, and a breakthrough in the negotiations on China’s accession to the WTO. All these hve filled the Chinese people with excitement and pride.
　　All these 这一后置总结词，指代上述的四大喜事，起到了很好的承上启下作用。
　　2、沼气、太阳能、风力和水力发电的利用可减少旅游开发可能给社区带来的对自然资源的国度压力。
　　Biogas, solar panels and in some cases wind or hydropower - all these help reduce the strain on natural resources, which is often brought by tourism.
　　需要叙述很多事物是，我们可以在译文中添加总结性词语。
　　3、中美二国和则二利，斗则俱伤。从1949年到1971年，中美敌对23年，双方都付出了沉重的代价。从1972年到现在，中美交往32年，尽管有曲折，但双方都从合作中获得了巨大好处。
　　China and the United States both gain from peaceful coexistence, and lose from conflicts. Both paid a heavy price for their mutual hostility lasting twenty-tree years from 1949 to 1971. In contrast, in the thirty-two years since China and the US renewed contact in 1972, both sides have benefited treendously from cooperation despite twists and turns.
　　添加一个in contrast,便于读者看清其间的逻辑关系。
　　怎么看了看童鞋们的译文好多都没有用“总结性衔接词语”啊
　　在引导一大段文字时，最好添加一些引导性的前置总结词语，使读者有一个心理准备；或者在一大段文字后补上后置总结性词语，让读者看清上文。
　　例如：
　　展望下个世界，我们的目标是，第一个十年实现国民生产总值翻一番，使人民小康生活更加富裕，形成比较傲完善的社会主义市场经济体制；再经过十年的努力，在建党一百年时，使国民经济更加发展，各项制度更加完善；到实际中叶见过一百周年时，基本实现现代化，建成富强民主文明的社会主义国家。
　　译文1: Looking into the next century, we have set our goals as follows: ...
　　译文2：Looking into the next century, we have set the following goals: ...
　　在目标后是长达124词的一段，如仍用小词of来引导，（set the goals of...）显然“托动力”不足，结构混乱不清。以上二种译文分别添加了as follows和following，使读者对下面的长结构有一个心理准备，因而容易看懂。
